Warfront Defenders is a Tower Defense Game based upon World war 2. It’s gameplay is based upon classic Tower Defense with a little twist. Here, the US infantry has to defend their warfront against German Attacks. They must somehow defend the ground and must not let the enemy past the checkpoint. The gameplays are set up with small and crafty WW2 Dioramas. The game features US Machine gunners and Bazooka as Towers. And Germaninfantry and Panzer Tanks as creeps. This game is developed using Unity and Playmaker. This game is still in active development and will transform into a complete game. While thesource of it’s first prototype is and will always beĀ available as a Tower Defense Playmaker Kit through Unity Asset Store and FastSpring.
This is a great start! Have you put any thought into what you’re going to do to differentiate between this and other tower defense games out there? I am eagerly awaiting future updates!
Thanks for dropping by.
Well, the plan is, to make this into a world war II setting, with rifle/machine gun and rocket launcher towers. Also, the ambition is to add some little additional mechanics. Like you can command the towers to concentrate firing on a specific moving target. Also, I’d like to add battle tanks as creeps, and make the towers destructable by enemy tank fire. And additionally if possible I’d like to include infantry towers, from where soldiers can come down and fight with enemies.
There were more plans like barricades and open placement of towers. But, it’s already a tall order to complete within a month.
Anyway, let’s take it one by one and see where it goes.
Initially I was thinking about something like a mix of tower defense and horror games. Like, the source of sound of the creeps as a gameplay component. Utilizing Floodlights or beacons. The entire scene played in dark.
The 3D tower defense scenario seems interesting. Maybe you can really exploit using the 3rd dimension by using some sort of tower/floors system. Would like to see more of the development soon. Keep it up.
Hello,
First I would like to congratulate you for the very cool demos you have. Secondly I would like to ask if you have a release date for the “templates” in the asset store and the price?.
Thanks.
Thanks for dropping by. The templates are submitted to the asset store, they’d be probably available within a week. Warfront Defenders Template is priced at $30.
